Farmer's Market Checks! May 11, 2021 General Dear WIC Families, Farmer’s Market Checks are coming soon!! Starting in June, ask if your family is eligible to receive a 1 time booklet of checks equaling $28 dollars to spend at your local Farmer’s Market. This money can only be used toward buying fresh Fruits or Vegetables at participating Farmer’s Markets. ALSO… As part of the COVID relief package, there will be a temporary increase in Fruit & Veggie benefits to $35 for every WIC participant 1 year and older through the months of June-September! Look for the added benefits starting June 1st on your WIC card—use your added fruit and vegetable benefits at WIC approved stores. These fruit and vegetable benefits are good for 30 days from the date they are issued. Meaning these benefits may be used in October, depending on the date they are issued.
