Kids and Screen Time!

Day to day lives can be busy but reducing screen time can be easier and even more helpful then we think!

Here are some tips on how to reduce time in front of a screen. 

  • Involve children in the meal preparation, children enjoy being included and feeling like they are helping. 
  • Go outside and be active, being outside gives more opportunity for exploration. 
  • Make meal time, Family time. Dedicate this time free of electronics/screens to come together as a family. 
  • Try free play, whether its dress up, playing pretend - letting their minds wander and explore their own imagination. 
  • Do arts & crafts, giving children the chance to have a sensory stimulation.
Aim to keep screen time under 2 hours in 24 hours for all children.
